Tea (dregs) Time
〈茶殻〉という時間が保存された物質によって、茶畑の空の映像の〈時間〉が変容する。私たちは時間をどう知覚しているのか。
あらゆる時間が折り重なった空を観て、〈時間〉について静かに考えを巡らせる。
Tea (dregs) Time
空間に置かれた〈茶殻〉によって茶畑の映像の〈時間〉がピクセル毎に変化し、同一画面上に再合成されることで、あらゆる時間軸を通して私たちの時間認識に問いかける。
映像は茶畑の朝焼けにおける空の色彩や模様の変化を撮影したもので、順行と逆行が繰り返される。
空を見る時、私たちは色彩の変化によって時間を認識しており、１つの時間軸が一定リズムで順行しているという意識を持っている。では、色彩の変化を変えたときに複数の時間軸や別のリズムを捉えることができるか。
茶には茶畑という場所の時間や、”茶”としての時間がある。また、抽出する時間によって色や匂い、味が異なる。そこで、〈茶殻〉を”殻”としてではなく、「あらゆる〈時間〉が保存された物質、またはメディウム」として捉えた。

茶殻という素材と、あらゆる時間が折り重なった空を観て、〈時間〉について静かに考えを巡らせる。

The "time" of the image of the tea plantation changes pixel by pixel with the "tea husks" placed in the space, and is recomposed on the same screen, thereby questioning our perception of time through all time axes.
The images are of the changing colors and patterns of the sky at sunrise over the tea plantation, and the forward and reverse cycles are repeated.
When we look at the sky, we perceive time by the changes in color, and we are aware that one time axis is moving forward at a constant rhythm. So, can we capture multiple time axes or different rhythms when we change the colors?
Tea has the time of a place called a tea plantation and the time of "tea" itself. The color, smell, and taste also vary depending on the time of extraction. Therefore, we consider the "tea husk" not as a "husk" but as "a substance or medium in which all "time" is preserved.
How do we perceive time?
Looking at the material of tea husks and the sky where all kinds of time are layered, we can quietly ponder about "time.
